Disease Prevention and Treatment
In fulfillment of our mandate to disease prevention and treatment, and maternal and child health, the Rotary Club of Accra-South successfully executed a comprehensive, free community health screening and medical intervention for the residents of Kwahu Nkwatia and its surrounding communities.
The mega-health bazaar, organized in partnership with Rotary District 9104 and other Rotary Clubs as part of the District Convention. The outreach brought high-quality, specialized healthcare directly to the doorstep of hundreds of residents who otherwise face economic or geographical barriers to regular medical checkups.
Medical services included:
Blood pressure check
Weight & Height measurement for Body Mass Index (BMI)
Fasting Blood Glucose
Malaria test
Typhoid test
HIV testing
Hepatitis B testing
Polio vaccination for children
Vitamin A supplementation for children
Dental Screening
Eye Screening
ENT/Audiology/Hearing Assessment
Through initiatives like this, the Rotary Club of Accra-South continues to demonstrate that when fellowship is channelled into strategic community service, entire populations are uplifted, one healthy life at a time.
