The Rotary Club of Accra South (RCAS) was born on 8th August 2000 after a long and arduous 2-year labor. The Club had been a provisional one for almost 2 years prior to its charter. The words of DG Representative, PP Edwin Sam, could not have rung truer when, in his congratulatory message to the club during our charter, he emphasized the fact that “… I know the trying times we went through together to arrive at this point. I believe that this has helped to build resilience in the Club.” Ne’er a truer word spoken! Like any enterprise borne out of diligence and determination, our Club is presently a vibrant, dynamic club. Members of RCAS are not merely members of a Rotary Club: they are true Rotarians!

Rotary offers an opportunity to give back to the community as part of a group. Equally important, it has given me the opportunity to make and keep friends for a lifetime. Rotary is indeed good.
