Renovating and creating additional spaces for a Lab, Ward, Pharmacy, toilets and consulting rooms for the James Camp Prison Infirmary. The project aims at creating the capacity of the Prison Clinic to cater for inmates and prison officers at the James camp Prison of the Ghana Prisons Service. We took up this project as a club after the needs assessment was done and we found out the the inmates are sometimes denied the right to good healthcare because the infirmary lacked the resoures.
There were delays in diagnosing and attending to their health needs because samples are taken out of the infirmary and sent to different health facilities for basic examination and diagnosis. The sod was cut on 14th April,2024 and it is on schedule to be completed in June. There are currently 270 inmates and 408 officers who will benefit from the project when completed. This project we believe will help in the reforming of the prisoners to reintergrate them back into the society.
