The 2025/26 Rotary year has been a period of service. Driven by the core mission of "Service Above Self," our club has united to address some of the most pressing challenges in our communities—from environmental restoration and healthcare accessibility to educational empowerment and economic inclusion.

Below, we reflect on the initiatives that defined our impact this year.

Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability

Kinshasa Beach Cleanup
Following a transformative visit to The Or Foundation, we recognized the urgent challenge of textile waste. Leveraging the energy of the Rotaract Clubs of Accra-South, Accra-Dansoman, Accra-Adabraka, and Accra Osu-RE, alongside the expertise of The Or Foundation and Tide Turners Cleanup, we launched a massive intervention. A dedicated force of 276 volunteers spent three hours cleaning the shoreline, removing an astounding 33,511 kg of waste, completely revitalizing Kinshasa Beach in Jamestown.

Tree Planting at WASS
To combat deforestation and promote cleaner air, we initiated a tree planting project at the West Africa Senior High School. This project serves as both a reforestation effort and an economic empowerment initiative for the school community.

Healthcare & Wellness

Medical Outreach and Disease Awareness
This year, our efforts focused on both direct care and preventative awareness:

  • Medical Outreach: In partnership with Rotary District 9104, we hosted a Free Medical Screening and Health Outreach to promote early detection and bridge the gap in healthcare access.

  • Breast Cancer Awareness: Partnering with the Rotary Club of Accra-East, we provided expert presentations, clinical screenings, and consultations to improve public awareness on breast health.

  • Prostate Cancer Awareness: Collaborating with the Accra Golden Lions Club, we tackled the leading cancer diagnosis among men in Ghana, providing critical screening and education to reduce the high case-fatality rate.

Infrastructure for Health

  • Mankrong CHPS Compound: We committed to refurbishing and equipping this facility to ensure it serves as a modern, functional primary healthcare access point for approximately 2,000 residents across eight surrounding communities.

  • James Camp Prison Kitchen: Recognizing the role of sanitation in the rehabilitation process, we undertook the renovation of the kitchen facility at this model correctional center to support the health and dignity of inmates.

Education, Youth, & Vocational Empowerment

Career Guidance at ZICO
Recognizing that students need more than just classroom knowledge to succeed in the modern digital and green economy, we provided structured career guidance at Zion Senior High School (ZICO) in the Volta Region. Our diverse professional members aligned student academic paths with real-world industry opportunities.

The Kpogadzi Joint Project
On August 9, 2025, we participated in a massive collaborative effort involving 45 Rotary Clubs, 23 Rotaract Clubs, and various partners. This project impacted the Kpogadzi community through:

  • STEM education and vocational skills training.

  • Career mentorship and leadership development.

  • Environmental sustainability (planting 153 teak trees toward a 500-tree goal).

  • Renovation of a classroom block at the Salvation Army AME Zion Basic School.

Economic Inclusion

Economic Development for the Disabled
Our mission to leave no one behind remains steadfast. This project focused on empowering polio victims and other disabled individuals in Ghana by providing:

  • Mobility: Providing wheelchairs and assistive technology.

  • Economic Opportunity: Offering vocational training to help individuals secure employment or start small businesses, ensuring dignity and active community participation.

  • Maintenance Facility: Setup a Wheelchair maintenance facility

Looking Ahead

The 2025/26 Rotary year serves as a powerful reminder of what is possible when we combine our collective resources, professional expertise, and passion for service. Every kilogram of waste removed, every health screening provided, and every student mentored brings us closer to a stronger, more resilient society.

Thank you to all our partners, volunteers, and club members for making this year a resounding success.
