ACCRA, GHANA – In a landmark decision that underscores a legacy of dedicated service and visionary leadership, the Rotary Club of Accra-South is proud to announce that one of its distinguished members, Past Assistant Governor (PAG) - Rotarian Shika Acolatse, has been elected as the District Governor (DG) for Rotary District 9104 for the 2028-29 Rotary year.
Her election marks a significant milestone for District 9104. Since joining the Rotary Club of Accra-South in June 2011, PAG Shika has consistently demonstrated the "Service Above Self" ethos through tangible action and steadfast commitment.
A Journey of Leadership and Impact
Shika’s ascent to the governorship is the culmination of nearly two decades of leadership. Her tenure as President (2016-2017) provided a robust foundation for her subsequent role as Assistant Governor (2019-2022). Currently, she serves as the District Chair for Membership Attraction and Engagement, where she has been instrumental in growing the Rotary family.
Beyond her administrative roles, PAG Shika is a major contributor to the Rotary Foundation, holding the status of a Benefactor and multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Her passion for nurturing future leaders is further evidenced by her work as a faculty member of the Ghana Division of the Rotary Leadership Institute.
A Vision for Sustainable Change
PAG Shika’s leadership philosophy is built on the belief that Rotary is a unique vehicle for solving the world's most complex challenges.
Her approach to the 2028-29 year is expected to focus on the collective responsibility of Rotarians to take action that improves local economies and protects the environment.
Professional Excellence
Outside of her Rotary service, Shika Acolatse is a highly respected Development Consultant and SME Capacity Development Specialist. Her professional work has been vital in fostering the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), helping to build the entrepreneurial backbone of the community. She is a devoted family woman with a passion for coaching and mentoring.
