Rotary Spotlight

ACCRA, GHANA – In a vibrant ceremony and a renewed commitment to humanitarian service, Rotarian Klenam Fiadzoe was officially sworn in as the President of the Rotary Club of Accra South for the 2025-26 Rotary year. The handover event, attended by District leaders, visiting Rotarians, Rotaractors, Community Partners and Guests, marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club under the theme of "Unite for Good."
Klenam, with Information Technology as his Rotary Classification is a longtime member of the club, takes the mantle from Outgoing President Hilda Adah, who led the club through a successful 2024-25 tenure.
A Year of Resilience and Continuity
In her farewell address, Hilda Adah reflected on a year characterized by community impact and membership growth. During her term, the club successfully executed several key projects, including the high-profile renovation of the James Camp Prison infirmary and significant contributions to literacy, and environment projects.
"Leading this club has been an honor" Hilda remarked during the investiture ceremony. "We have proven that when we act with passion and integrity, we create hope where it is needed most. I have full confidence that Klenam will lead us to even greater heights."
Vision for 2025-26: Innovation and Impact
Accepting the presidential chain of command, Rotarian President Klenam outlined a vision to harness the incredible strength of human connection and collaboration to address critical issues, make a lasting difference in our communities, and building a better world, one impactful action at a time.
"Rotary is a global network of problem-solvers," Klenam stated in his inaugural address. "In the 2025-26 year, our club will not just be participants in service; we will be innovators. We will bridge the gap between community needs and sustainable solutions, ensuring that every project we touch leaves a permanent footprint of progress."
Celebrating a Legacy
The event also served as a celebration of the club’s history. Since its charter in August 2000, the Rotary Club of Accra South has established itself as a premier service organization in Ghana. The 2025-26 year is set to be particularly significant as the club prepares to celebrate a milestone of 25 years of impact, a legacy Klenam promised to honor through excellence and dedicated service.
As the ceremony concluded, the new Board of Directors, and Club Committee Chairs were also introduced, ready to support President Klenam in a year dedicated to making "Service Above Self" more than just a motto, but a tangible reality for the members of Accra-South.
