The air was filled with more than just the sounds of classic highlife and retro rhythms this past weekend; it was charged with the spirit of collective action. To mark the momentous Silver Jubilee of the Rotary Club of Accra-South, we hosted the 25th-anniversary edition of our flagship fundraising event, "The Good Ol’ Days."
It was a night to look back at a quarter-century of service, but more importantly, it was a night to look forward to a healthier future for the people of Mankrong.
The Mission: Revitalizing the Mankrong CHPS Compound
This year’s edition carried a specific and urgent mandate. We set an ambitious goal to raise GH₵ 300,000.00 dedicated entirely to the comprehensive renovation of the Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound in Mankrong.
For the residents of Mankrong, this facility is their primary lifeline. However, time and heavy use have taken their toll. Our goal is to transform this compound into a modern, dignified healthcare hub—complete with refurbished clinical spaces, essential medical equipment, and a sustainable environment for both patients and healthcare workers. Because of the generosity shown at "The Good Ol’ Days," we are now steps closer to making this transformation a reality.

As we danced the night away to the tunes of yesteryear, we were reminded that while the "Good Ol’ Days" are worth celebrating, the "Better Days" we are building for communities like Mankrong are what truly matter.
The funds raised during this anniversary gala will ensure that the 25th year of the Rotary Club of Accra-South is defined by a legacy of health, dignity, and renewed hope.
Thank you for being part of our story. Together, we are changing the world, one project at a time.
